26/12/2025 - Break! v1.1 release
Rewrote a bunch of core rules to make them clearer or in some cases, change them.
1. Mods have been completely overhauled to be simpler but have interesting mechanical effects.
2. You may now use multiple gears for a check, with each gear adding a d4 by default.
3. Creating gears and mods now use build points (BP). Allows for more flexible character creation. You can save BP and use them at any point during the game to reveal a new gear or mod you just thought up.
4. Advantage rules are less restrictive.
5. You may now use ADV to reduce heat.
6. Combat procedure is more thoroughly explained.
7. Checks are more clearly defined. Targeting a part and rolling against its Difficulty has a name now: Strike.
8. Loads of smaller edits to trim word count and improve readability - especially for mech creation, gears, and mods.
9. (NEW!) Wrote some rules for Designing Encounters! Not everything I want to write by far but its a start! Current rules cover Environments and special rules for City, Forest, and Desert.
10. (NEW!) Rewrote a buncha stock gears and wrote a couple new ones! Joining the ranks of weapon gears are the Precise, Unstable, and Zone weapon gears! I'm particularly proud of Unstable and Zone, I like em a lot.
11. (NEW!) Two new frames despite me not finishing the previous ones yet woahhhhh (,,•o•,,) . Soso happy to have The Atlas and The Ache (inspired by two good friends) in my game :))

Currently typing this out at 4am on the floor in the dark with my brother sleeping in the bed beside me (on a trip). Will post a devlog/list of changes tomorrow.
Update: devlog posted! will use those from now on.

1. Finish writing rules for Designing Encounters
2. Finally finish descriptions for Frames (need to edit their gears too)
3. Reformat stuff. I wanna transition to using Atkinson Hyperlegible instead of Arial.
4. Make a cover image lol
